Stefan Oelze and Beta Film launch production company

Munich, 12 March 2014. Former MME Moviement Executive Board member and filmpool Managing Director Stefan Oelze and Munich-based Beta Film are launching a production company together. SeaPoint Productions GmbH & Co. KG will be up and running, based in Cologne, in the next few months.

„I'm delighted to be forming a partnership with Jan Mojto's Beta Film with their vast expertise in Germany as well as in the international TV market. We share the same vision: investing in programs, developing long-term relationships with talent and working on successful genres", states Stefan Oelze. „Together, we want to build a production company which is strong in Germany and also globally-focused and work for all broadcasters and all media platforms in diverse genres".

Jan Mojto, CEO of Beta Film: „We're very pleased to have Stefan Oelze as a partner, whose greatest strength is in non-scripted content and which, therefore, is a perfect extension to Beta Film with its focus so far on scripted productions and co-productions."

Stefan Oelze (44), former Chief Creative Officer of MME Moviement AG (part of All3Media), Managing Director of both its subsidiaries filmpool and Tower Productions, prior to that Managing Director of Granada/ITV Studios Germany, has been behind several national and international successes in entertainment and scripted formats. These include "Come Dine With Me", "Berlin Day & Night", "Let's Dance", I Am A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here" and "Just Sue Me!" He is also a member of the board of directors of the Swiss social TV channel joiz.

With a catalogue of over 15,000 hours of programs in all formats and genres, Beta Film is one of the world's leading distributors for TV, HV and new media as well as for theatrical releases (Beta Cinema) and is active in national and international productions and co-productions. Beta Film, based in Oberhaching by Munich/Germany, has been part of Jan Mojto's company group since 2004.
