Ariane Krampe Founds Own Production Company

Munich, 1 April 2015. Film producer of long standing Ariane Krampe (“The Tunnel”, “Shores of Hope”, “Border Walk”) has joined the ranks of independent producers in order to make her own productions in the future. Headquartered in Gruenwald near Munich, the Ariane Krampe Filmproduktion will be developing high-quality TV films and series for the German and international markets. Shooting on the first projects is already scheduled for the summer. Ariane Krampe Filmproduktion is part of Jan Mojto's corporate group.

Ariane Krampe is one of the most experienced producers in Germany and has worked for twenty years now with firms such as Bavaria Film, UFA and Zeitsprung. In 1998, Krampe, who has a law degree, founded the production company teamWorx with Nico Hofmann and Wolf Bauer. In 2001 they presented “The Tunnel”, a Berlin Wall drama which she developed and produced. It marked the beginning of a new genre, the Event Movie. For teamWorx, Krampe produced four series, two feature films and nearly 70 TV movies for public and commercial broadcasters, including the kidnapping drama “Dance with the Devil”, “Munich ‘72” and the biography of the WWII General Rommel.

The producer was honored with, among others, the German Television Award and the Golden Camera for “The Airlift” in 2006, as well as the Prix Europa for “Die Mauer – Berlin 61”. In 2014 she won the Grimme Award for “Border Walk”, the psychogram of a love. Among her recent productions as deputy CEO of Zeitsprung are „Der Fall Barschel“, „Unsichtbare Jahre and Begierde – Mord im Zeichen des Zen“.

Ariane Krampe: "I am looking forward to guiding many more films to success with creativity and energy, and to implementing my experience as producer of high-quality programs. I am very pleased to have such a renowned partner as Beta Film at my side, and am particularly grateful to Jan Mojto for his confidence."

Jan Mojto, CEO Beta Film: "I've known Ariane Krampe since our first project “The Tunnel” over 15 years ago. I greatly respect her achievements and admire her profound humanity. We are connected by a long, mutual path with many projects and ideas. I am delighted that we will be able to work together even more closely on all aspects of these projects."
