International Emmy Award for “Wolves of Berlin”

Munich, 24 Nov 2009. Beta's Miniseries Wolves of Berlin has been honoured with an International Emmy Award as Best TV-Movie/Miniseries. The Ziegler Film-Production, which was recently also awarded with three German TV­-Awards and the Golden Nymph in Monte Carlo, depicts the story of a group of young people who come together in post-war Berlin, grow apart at the time of the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961, and reunite at the fall of the Wall in 1989. Academy President & CEO Bruce Paisner said at the ceremony in New York City: “We congratulate tonight’s winners for their outstanding achievements. All the nominated programs and performances are a true inspiration for all of us in the industry and for audiences worldwide”. Wolves of Berlin, directed by Friedemann Fromm, is starring Axel Prahl, Barbara Auer, Matthias Brandt, Florian Lukas, Florian Stetter, Annett Renneberg and Stefanie Stappenbeck and was produced for ZDF.
