Beta Film’s Canadian series with blockbuster ratings

Munich, 20 Jan 2010. Beta Film’s Canadian series Republic of Doyle and Heartland have continued their success this winter by garnering blockbuster ratings on their home channel CBC. The start of Republic of Doyle (12 x one hour), one of the most high-budget television series ever produced in Canada, was watched by almost one million viewers and maintained a very high number of viewers in the next episode, while the family series Heartland (67 x one hour) continued its exceptional ratings of more than a million viewers each week. The next season of the horse themed series has already been greenlighted. In addition, the action series Border about the dramatic adventures of a special airport police squad in Toronto (38 x one hour) continued to prove its quality with a strong audience. All three series are also very successful internationally and have been sold to numerous territories by Beta Film.
