"Live is Life" wins German primetime with more than 8 million viewers

Munich, 4 Feb 2010. The TV movie Live is Life has won the primetime slot with exceptional ratings on public broadcaster ARD. The film about a rock ’n’ roll band in a retirement home drew more than 8 million viewers and a market share of 23.2 %, leaving all other programs far behind and beating such prominent formats as the German version of “American Idol” on RTL. Younger viewers (14-49) also appreciated Live is Life with 1.74 million viewers and a market share of 12 %, almost twice as high as the ARD average. Live is Life, starring Jan Josef Liefers (“Storm Tide!”) is produced by DOR Film for ARD and ORF in association with Beta.
