Gold World Medal for "Side Effects"

Munich, 27th of January 2009. The TV-Drama Side Effects about the Thalidomide-scandal was awarded the Gold World Medal in the category Mini-Series at the renowned New York Festival. The two-parter by Adolf Winkelmann and author Benedikt Röskau, a coproduction of the Westdeutscher Rundfunk with ARD Degeto, ZEITSPRUNG Film und TV Produktions GmbH and EOS Production GmbH & Co. KG., reached more than 7 million viewers in average on ARD in November 2007. It recently won the Bavarian TV Award and was successful at the Monte Carlo Festival.
