"Not all Were Murderers" wins "Monaco Red Cross" Award

 

"Not All Were Murderers" has been honored with the special "Monaco Red Cross" Award at the Festival de Télévision in Monte Carlo. The award was presented on the evening of 13 June at a gala in Monte Carlo. "Not All Were Murderers" is thus being honored for its commitment to the ideals of the Red Cross such as humanity, impartiality and universality. The film, which was produced under the auspices of the SWR, was the only German entry in competition for best TV movie.
Author and director Jo Baier filmed the memoirs of actor Michael Degen who, with his mother, spent two years in various hiding places in Berlin and was thus spared deportation by the Nazis. The film is a coproduction of Teamworx Fernseh- und Filmproduktion with SWR, BR, Degeto, EOS Entertainment and World Sales Beta Film, in association with RBB and subsidized by MBB, MFG Filmförderung and FFF Bayern. Jo Baier directed and wrote the script based on the memoirs of Michael Degen. The film was first aired on ARD on 1 November 2006.
