Record Ratings for "Sissi" in France

 

Munich, January 5th 2006. The celebrated Sissi films starring Romy Schneider and Karlheinz Böhm have once again reached record ratings in France. The trilogy, which enjoys cult status worldwide, achieved market shares of up to 33 percent on TF1 in the days following Christmas. "Sissi" has had a huge community of fans in France for decades and is regularly broadcast as a part of the Christmas program, the last time in 2002 with market shares of roughly 33 percent as well.
German viewers have also remained unfalteringly faithful to Sissi. The feature films from the 50s, which were broadcast at primetime on Christmas Eve and the following afternoons on ARD, reached market shares of up to 21 percent.
Sissi, Sissi - The Young Empress and Sissi – The Fateful Years are distributed by Beta Film internationally. With sales to more than 90 countries “Sissi? is among the company’s most successful programs and is broadcast repeatedly on primetime slots worldwide.
