Line of Separation convinces viewers in Sweden

Munich 11 May 2015. After its outstanding success in Germany, Beta Film's Line of Separation continues to follow in the footsteps of the success of Generation War in Sweden as well. The post WWII-drama convinced on public broadcaster SVT at 10 pm on three following nights with excellent constant ratings of 18 % in average and up to 500.000 viewers, supported by very good online catch up-figures. The emotionally gripping mini-series was praised by Swedish newspaper "Dagens Nyheter" as "...well crafted, extraordinarily nuanced, stunningly beautiful and incredibly well acted." Two years ago, Generation War scored record ratings in Sweden as one of the most widely seen foreign, non-English language programs in Sweden of all time.

Produced by Academy Award winner Wiedemann & Berg ("Lives of Others"), Gabriela Sperl, ZDF, Wilma and Beta Film, Line of Separation depicts the life in a town torn between Eastern and Western occupation zones after the end of WW II and is inspired by true historical events.
