Munich, 5 August 2014. After its sensational Season II start, Beta Film's Cedar Cove, starring Hollywood icon Andie MacDowell, has jumped up to 2.1 million viewers, making it again #1 in cable prime time on Saturday nights on US broadcaster Hallmark Channel. Consolidated with its 11 pm encore, the third episode reached even 3.5 million unduplicated viewers on the 8-9pm time slot and scored #2 of the evening in Cedar Cove's acclaimed target group of women from 25-54 years.

The premiere of season two was watched by 1.7 million viewers (1.4 mio households), making it not only top scorer amongst all viewers but in addition #1 of women from 25-54.

Based on Debbie Macomber´s best-selling novels the show follows Judge Olivia Lockhart (Andie MacDowell), considered as the community's guiding light in the picturesque, coastal town of Cedar Cove in the US North-West. But like everyone else, Olivia fights the uphill battle of balancing career with family and finding love, all while doing her best to care for the township she calls home.

The 25 x 45min show produced by showrunner Carl Bonder, starring Andie MacDowell ("Four Weddings and a Funeral") and Dylan Neal ("Arrow"), has been produced by Unity Pictures for Hallmark Channel U.S.
