Beta’s “My Son” honored at Fiction Festival in La Rochelle

Munich, 14 September 2014. Big tribute for the TV drama My Son and its leading actress: Michèle Laroque was honored for her outstanding performance as Best Actress at the Fiction Festival in La Rochelle, the biggest TV festival in France.

My Son, directed by Alain Berliner ('Ma vie en rose', 'The Wall', 'The House by the Canal'), tells the story about Matilda, a consultant of a planned parenthood center, who has one day the difficult case, that her son is accused to has raped one of her young patients at a party. Matilda is caught in the middle and needs to take life-changing decisions, about herself, her family and her patient Lea.

Michèle Laroque, born 1960 in Nice as daughter of a doctor and the Romanian dancer & violinist Doina Trandabur, studied economics & English. She is married to the former French finance minister François Baroin. Internationally well-know she became with films like 'Ma vie en rose' (directed by Alain Berliner, 1997), 'Serial Lover' (directed by James Hunt, 1998) and 'The Closet' (directed by Francis Veber, 2001). My Son was produced by Kwaï / Pictanovo in association with Beta Film.
