Munich, 22 May 2013. Three Beta productions have been nominated for the annual BANFF-Rockies Program Competition. The teamWorx-family entertainment mini-series Baron on a Cannonball, aired very successfully on Christmas on German public channel ARD, runs in the Youth-Fiction Programs section and competes against an episode of CBC's long running series Heartland (season VI, episode 9, "Great Expectations"), also distributed by Beta Film. As Made-for-TV-Movie nominated is the German production Deployment, also ARD, about the ISAF-mission in Afghanistan. The internationally-recognized award program celebrates nominees in 26 categories, spanning multiple genres including Fiction, Non-Fiction, Kids & Animation and Interactive. Winners will be announced at the Banff World Media Festival in June.
