Beta’s CRACKED ordered to series

Munich, 11 Mai 2012. The new North American TV crime series CRACKED has received a 13 episode series green-light by CBC. Beta Film had committed itself to the project at an early stage, cooperated with producer White Pine on the development and will be White Pine’s international partner on the series.
Starring David Sutcliffe (Gilmore Girls, Private Practice) as Detective Aidan Black and Stefanie von Pfetten (NCIS, Battlestar Galactica) as psychiatrist Dr. Daniella Ridley, the one hour crime series follows unique police characters investigating as Special Psych Crimes Unit and going after psychologically complex crimes. 
CRACKED is created by writer Tracey Forbes (Flashpoint, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Toronto Emergency Task Force officer Calum de Hartog.  The CRACKED pilot was directed by Tim Southam (House, Rookie Blue, Bones). The series will be shot in Toronto and will premiere in early 2013. CRACKED is produced by White Pine for CBC in co-operation with Beta Film, Executive Producer are Peter Raymont, Janice Dawe and Tracey Forbes.
