Beta Film’s 30 DEGREES IN FEBRUARY won Swedish TV Award against “Wallander” and “The Bridge”

Munich, 5 Sept 2012. The highly acclaimed TV series 30 Degrees in February has been honored with the Swedish TV Award Kristallen. The scripted series (10x58’), produced by Fundament Film AB in co-production with SVT, won the award as Best TV Drama against such renowned productions as “Wallander” and “The Bridge”. Swedish media praised the series as “very authentic, realistic and fantastic acting at all levels” (Aftonbladet). Expressen stated: “…it is impossible to look away a single second…succeeds in almost every scene to surprise the viewer…”
30 Degrees in February follows people, who leave the snow and cold of Scandinavia for the warm, sandy beaches of Thailand in the dead of winter. It’s the beginning of a life-changing adventure. As lives move deftly from one jolting event to another, people realize that while it may be impossible to completely leave their Nordic lives behind, it is possible – with humor, humanity and generosity – to transcend their limits and reach satisfying moments of self-fulfillment and love on their journey. Beta Film presents 30 Degrees in February as one of the highlights of its MipCom lineup in October in Cannes.
