Jessica King’s sex appeal has been working wonders on the French. KING, the hit Showcase series, starring Amy Price-Francis has been sold by Beta Film to France’s private channel M6. It has also been licensed to the Astral Media Quebec specialty channel Series +. With its 21 channels, Astral is the largest provider of English and French language pay and specialty television in Canada. In addition, Beta Film confirms very advanced negotiations in major territories, like Germany, Italy, UK and Spain. “The international market response to KING has been very positive,” states Beta Film’s managing director Eric Welbers.
