Beta Film sells PRINCESS LILLIFEE and MOONBEAM BEAR to Starz - exceptional ratings for new children’s animation

Munich, 20 May 2011. The stories of the magical pink fairy princess LILLIFEE and the adventures of MOONBEAM BEAR are travelling to the US. Beta Film signed the contract for the children’s animation feature films with the cable channel Starz. In addition, MOONBEAM BEAR goes to the Disney Junior Channel in Spain.
With the US, PRINCESS LILLIFEE has now been sold to 64 territories worldwide by Beta Film’s family entertainment label Wunderbox. PRINCESS LILLIFEE and MOONBEAM BEAR are available as feature films and as animated series. The LILLIFEE-series with 26x11 minutes will be delivered at the end of 2011, MOONBEAM BEAR is already available with 48x13 minutes. The new feature film PRINCESS LILLIFEE AND THE LITTLE UNICORN will be released in Germany in September by Universum.
Brand new in Beta Film’s Wunderbox lineup are the stories of TRENK, THE LITTLE KNIGHT (13x22’), who sets off with great courage and a small piglet on an adventurous journey, determined to become a knight. The first season scored exceptional ratings on Germany’s public broadcasters KI.KA. and ZDF attracting female as well as male audience. The average market share on KI.KA was 48 % (girls 3-9 years) and 45 % (boys 3-9). Even more fascinated by TRENK was the younger audience with an average market share of 58 % (girls 3-5 years) and 52 % (boys 3-5). For TRENK, THE LITTLE KNIGHT, as second season is already in production.

MOONBEAM BEAR is produced by Caligari Film and WunderWerk in coproduction with Beta and Universum Film in association with ZDF/KI.KA.
TRENK, THE LITTLE KNIGHT is produced by blue eyes Fiction and WunderWerk in co-production with Beta Film in cooperation with ZDF/KI.KA.
