Munich, 20 Sep 2011. Beta Film has sold the North American detective series KING to four continents including major European territories. The unconventional cop show, whose second season will start shooting this fall, was acquired by VOX Germany, M6 France, Italy’s Pay channel FOX, Net5/SBS Netherlands, TV 1 Australia, Series+ in Canada and tcast South Korea. Negotiations for African territories and with various other broadcasters are in finalisation. KING (21 x 1 hour) features Jess King (Amy Price-Francis, “24”, “Californication”), head of the Major Crimes Task Force, who steps in when the cops from the ordinary police force are stumped.
