Munich, 23  December 2011. Hindenburg - The Last Flight is the highest rated TV production of the year in Germany. The mini-series about the spectacular zeppelin crash of 1937 reached in February on RTL 4.5 million viewers and a market share of 28 percent in the younger target group (14 – 49). The 2x90’ mini therefore beat such theatrical hits like “Hancock” and “Live Free or Die Hard”. Alltogether Hindenburg was watched by 15 million viewers. With a budget of over ten million Euros, Hindenburg, produced by teamWorx and EOS/Beta Film and shot in English, was RTL’s most expensive event-movie ever.
